PUBLIC ACCOUNTABILITY AND VALUES ENHANCEMENT SEMINAR (PAVES)
As a Civil Society Organization - Corruption Prevention Unit founded on the core values of Love of God, Respect for Authority, Wisdom of Truthfulness, Sanctity of Marriage, Selfless Love and Service to People, we have travelled the whole archipelago for the past twenty (20) years with the aim of establishing righteousness in every domain of the society, particularly in public service through Public Accountability and Values Enhancement Seminar (PAVES). Through this program, we have endeavored to provide government officials and employees, as well as private individuals and companies, the opportunity to participate in national transformation by espousing Godly values, morals, and ethics.
Participants are challenged to live exemplary lives that are motivated by their love for God, Country and Fellowmen, with emphasis on returning to old values which have been found to be effective corruption deterrents and which have contributed to office unity, productivity, and better morale among employees. Our statistics show that in the DPWH Cordillera Region a decrease of 28% in graft and corruption incidences was achieved; our DAR seminars at Region IV show a more efficient workforce by the elimination of the problems of habitual absenteeism, drunkenness and gambling in the workplace; while our FTI Taguig seminars have resulted to 100% productivity. Many more feedback as to the unity of purpose and vision from the different government offices where we conducted seminars were likewise generated.
In 2013, as we continue in our advocacy of transforming the nation through values, we have decided to integrate Gender and Development (GAD) in our program as one of the main thrusts through which we intend to bring a more holistic and comprehensive type of training for our dear public servants. We believe that the Philippines as a nation must handle gender sensitivity, which now is becoming a universal concern in many countries, with propriety, sobriety, and objectivity. Most of all, we would like to present and tackle this issue from a perspective representing the totality of cultural, spiritual, and moral foundations of this nation.
