A message we received from one of the participants in DAR SORSOGON who had their seminar last November..
We also prepare excellent leaders so that when opportunities come, they're ready and qualified to enter. Glory to God alone.. Everyone whom we encountered in our seminars: God is the best! And you are the best! "I just finished the two day comprehensive exam as part of my masteral course public administration and the questions are related on the topics that you have discussed during the gad paves ,thank you so much because of you i was able to answer it. You are truly a blessing. From me jicelle of dar sorsogon. God bless po." department of environment and natural resources - civil accountability and values enhancement seminar (denr - caves)We have been exposed to graft and corruption and other forms of illnesses in society. The CAVES program came at a time that we really need transformation within ourselves and become better persons. Past learning events have not given much on the spiritual perspective - of our being as civil servants and of our being a devoted husband or wife. This time, this module shared these things with us... We, the pioneer group of this program was offered transformation motivated by love of God, love of country, love of family, transformation that touches our heart and our values. This program is trying to build our relationship with God as we perform our tasks in our respective offices to provide an excellent service to the public. All the topics are interrelated; they were discussed/ presented in a manner that is very understandable where the participants themselves could relate to. We have learned so much in this learning event… It is not hard to make decisions when we know what our values are - especially so in the spiritual context. When our values are clear to us, making decisions become easy. The decisions we now make reflect the values we choose and it must reflect our transformed lives. Our values are not by pointing fingers… Its about offering a helping hand in our family, in our community and in our workplace. This strengthens our resolve to be better stewards of mother earth. There’s this one story I read in a newspaper and it somehow reflects the condition of graft and corruption in our country. A priest parked illegally and left a note on the windshield, saying: “I’m a priest, can’t find a parking space. Please don’t give me a ticket. Forgive my trespasses”. Upon returning, he found a ticket on his windshield with this note: “I’m a cop. If I don’t give you a ticket, I’ll commit sin. Lead me not into temptation. P.S. but if you attach a P50 bill in your license, all is ok”. Let me express my sincere thanks to the resource persons from CRFV, who unselfishly shared their knowledge and experiences, with their very own personal touches, to make the learning event on CAVE Values Restoration Program very relevant and timely, and a venue to touch our hearts, to create the transformation in our individual lives. To the DENR HRDS, maraming salamat din po, for making this seminar possible. The program comes with a challenge to the first batch of being transformed civil servants. With the inspiration and motivation provided by our resource persons, let us practice good governance guided by the Divine Grace. Arniel Rey G. Alcaraz SCIS Good Afternoon,
It was a pleasure having you and your team speak before us on values restoration in the country. i personally liked the personalized approach to your lectures. It was a reminder for me (and i hope to my fellow public servants) that the government is not an employment agency and that public service is an honor. I am glad as well that fellow Cordillerans are taking the lead in this endeavor. It is my hope that you and your group will touch the hearts of more public servants Prepared by, Lester Jeff Pawid.
"My salute to the prime movers of this 2-day seminar spearheaded by our motherly Schools Division Superintendent, Dr. Evelyn R. Fetalvero together with her right hand and equally dynamic ASDS, Dr. Elizabeth S. Larase, to our brilliant and competent speakers Sir Jesus Sison, Sir Danilo Cacait and Sir Nathaniel Saquiban, our active Division Education Supervisors, District Supervisors, School Administrators, fellow mentors, ladies and gentlemen, a pleasant afternoon.
Let me start my impression with this passage in Jeremiah 1:5, "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; before you were born I sanctified you, I ordained you as a prophet to the nations." Reflecting on God's words at this very moment has made us come to a point of realizing that the very reason why we have chosen teaching as a profession is; it is because God has designed and ordained it to happen for us! Ma'am, we are grateful for initiating this 2-day seminar on PAVES for free. Thank you for paving the way towards our professional and spiritual growth. To our lecturers, Kudos to you Sir! Thank you for giving valuable and significant insights that will help us transform into a better person and even into the best teacher. To my fellow participants, we are very lucky to have this special training seminar which is really very different from the several trainings that we have attended. May we grasp and embrace the learnings that we have gained from our speakers. Let us learn to be more attentive and participative in all trainings and seminars. As the Bible says, "even if we have all the riches and pleasures of the world yet you do not know God, everything is meaningless!" My fellow mentors, let us not be changed by our own efforts but we will allow the Holy Spirit to transform us. As teachers, we are the living testimony not just to the four corners of this hall but as well to the young lives entrusted to us by God. Let us be ta blessing in words, in actions and in thoughts. And from this day forward, we will together say, "we will never be the same again." Prepared by: Raquel Gecoso Escanilla San Jose NHS, District 1 |
