Wisdom is a principal thing which is indispensable to live a fulfilled and meaningful life. Wisdom is the ability to execute a prepared plan or blueprint. It is the ability to make good judgments based on what you have learned from your experience, or the knowledge and understanding. It is also the ability to answer the question “How to..?” and endows a man to have the means to do it.
We live in an age of advanced technology where we can acquire practically any information at the tip of our fingers. The concern is no longer how to access the information but how to utilize the information we have. Nowadays, we cannot just obtain so much information and yet behave uneducated because we cannot apply the ideas and concepts. Assessment, evaluation and interpretation of information are necessary to translate them into significant actions and results. It is here where wisdom is required. It is our capability to translate knowledge and understanding into sound judgment, accurate decision, as well as relevant and fruitful results.
Albert Einstein said, “Wisdom is not a product of schooling but of the lifelong attempt to acquire it.” This was also what the wisest king in Israel taught: acquire wisdom first by having Godly fear. While acquiring wisdom, actively seek spiritual discernment, mature comprehension, and logical interpretation.
In the national scale, wisdom is still the principal thing for the excellent execution of plans and projects. It is the key tool in leadership, management and rebuilding. With wisdom, we build marriages, families, businesses, offices and communities accurately. We establish an impregnable work that won’t be disgraced nor be defeated. As for the rebuilding of the Nation, wisdom is so important that we must make it our major acquisition. As it was spoken by Fela Durotoye, “A nation is not defined by its borders or the boundaries of its land mass. Rather, a nation is defined by adverse people who have been unified by a cause and a value system and who are committed to a vision for the type of society they wish to live in and give to the future generations to come.” “Therefore, be careful to observe the spiritual laws, the laws of the land, the values and sound principles; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the peoples who will hear all these statutes, and say, ‘Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.’”
We have the Holy Spirit as our primary teacher who gives us wisdom. We are totally surrendered to His leadership and His laws. With fear of God in our hearts, we acquire wisdom to strongly build our families, agencies, communities and our nation. We have the wisdom to execute His will and plan in the land. With wisdom, we make accurate decisions for the common good and protection of others. With wisdom, we continuously grow and mature by acquiring new learning, skills and knowledge. We
are men and women of wisdom imploring the aid of the Almighty God to establish His government in the land and inspire others to build with us as well. We produce impregnable work because we have decided that wisdom is a principal thing for us. We show that we are wise and possess understanding by showing good conduct, but our works are done in the meekness of wisdom.
Almighty God, You are the giver of heavenly wisdom. Thank You for releasing unto us the wisdom that is pure, peaceable, gentle, humble, full of mercy and good fruits. This wisdom that produces fruits of righteousness and truth is our portion. Through this Godly wisdom at work in us, we destroy confusion, lies, hypocrisy, sensuality and every evil thing there is. So in the Name of Jesus, we have the mind of Christ, the wisdom of God and we rise as accurate builders of this nation. Amen.
